History

Early Life

Angela grew up in Pleasance, Lemoyne. She lived a normal life in the crossing for many years until a tragic event occurred and changed her forever. Angela was witness to the gruesome murder and stabbing of her friends, family and neighbours within the quiet town that had been her home. The incident marked her for life, turning her wicked and cruel and steering her down a different path than fate had originally laid out for her.

Angela left the Crossing and the tragic events behind her and headed east where she would gain employment in various prisons working as a guard. During her years working within the penal system she would earn a reputation for her cruelty and the fervour with which she approached her job.

Events in Saint's Crossing

After many years away and upon hearing of the prospect of work within Sisika Penitentiary, Angela made the decision to return to the crossing.

She spent a number of weeks reacquainting herself with the place that once before she had called home, embarking on a tour of the crossing, taking particular interest in the many gallows that the region had to offer.

When Sisika formerly opened its doors to new staff, Angela was amongst the first to don the uniform and did so with glee.

Angela grew to take a particular interest in Edwin Braithwaite and took great pleasure in tormenting him during his time within Sisika.

Angela's cruelty would eventually catch up to her when an inmate who had managed to acquire a knife from outside the prison walls ambushed and stabbed her multiple times as she led inmate Braithwaite from his most recent stay in the box. The cruel, sadistic guard Payne would die to her stab wounds there in Sisika just as the younger, innocent Angela had died on the day she witnessed her family's brutal murder by the same means. Thus ended the reign of terror that Angela had inflicted upon the inmates of Sisika Penitentiary.

Character

Personality

Angela was unnervingly calm and polite to those who were not on the wrong side of the law. To the unfortunate souls who found themselves incarcerated within Sisika and at her mercy she was cruel and malicious. Angela was at her most energised and content when inflicting mental and physical anguish on those she felt deserving. She fed on the suffering of others and covered this cruelty behind a sickly sweet demeanour. Her job as a guard and the power it gave her was her life and she approached the position with a passion that bordered on unhealthy.

Angela spoke with a refined, playful voice and laughed often, usually at others expense. She could often be heard singing to herself as she made her rounds. To those that had the misfortune of getting to know her through their time behind bars, her singing was the sound of impending suffering.

Appearance

Angela cut an intimidating figure with her imposing stature and muscular build. She had a hooked nose and blue, shark like eyes that were always watching, on the lookout for disobedience and disorder. She kept her jet black hair slicked back and was rarely seen outside of her guard uniform

Trivia

  • Angela was very knowledgable and passionate about historic torture methods, taking pleasure in reciting them in great detail to those around her.

Quotes

  • “I don’t cohort, I don’t drink, I don’t gamble, I don’t take the lord's name in vain and I don’t listen to prisoner’s requests unless it gets me something.”
