<h5>Early Life</h5>

Rabbit Windward, born Morrigan O'Callaghan, is a second generation convict of Irish-Australian heritage, born to an outlaw father who chose to settle down as a sheep farmer in the Snowy Mountains of Australia. After the passing of their parents, Morrigan killed a pair of corrupt penal officers in self-defense before fleeing to the united states under the name 'Rory Callaghan'. Beginning as a street rat and thief in New York, they eventually moved to Saint's Crossing, before being quickly swallowed up by a life of deadlier crime.

==Events in Saint's Crossing==

Trained as a safecracker by a group known as 'The Saints of the Crossing', Rory threw their lot in with Jack Kettleman, a mistake that cost them them their life - Robert Waters saw this betrayal as cause to execute the upstart criminal.

Saved by the quick action of Bianca McKenna, and later the surgical skill of retired criminal doctor Deacon Ewan Byrne, 'Rabbit' was born in the scarred and one-eyed body, taking their name for the carvings their past self would whittle. Slowly regaining fragments of memory, and pushed to darker extremes, Rabbit committed many acts of violence and became embroiled in the war between the West and the East - Kettleman and Summers. After many personal losses, and Rabbit's cruelty being undermined by a burgeoning sense of justice, Rabbit Callaghan left the criminal world and pursued a path of redemption to become a Deputy.

Later adopted by Atlas Windward, Rabbit's story only grew, and they were eventually promoted to Sheriff after four months of service.

Rabbit is a quick-thinking, sharp-tongued pragmatist, and is anything but gun-shy. They are happy to use violence to solve problems, which can cause some friction within the department, but ultimately consider themself responsible for running the 'Unfortunate Numbers', the burden of the Sheriff's Star - hard choices are their specialty.
