Rangers protect citizens from dangerous wildlife and provide respite for those in need who brave the wilds. They perform search-and-rescue missions for injured and lost parties.

<h5>Do I have to be lawful?</5>
Yes, being a Ranger requires you to be completely lawful. For more information, click [[Joining_the_SCRC#What_does_it_mean_to_be_lawful.3F|here]].

<h5>How do the Ranger Outposts work?</h5>
Rangers are not designated to certain towns or outposts. Rangers are generally nomadic, and expected to share spaces with each other.

<h5>Send a Telegram</h5>
To begin the journey of getting the role, please send a telegram to a State Ranger. You may roleplay that you found the State Ranger’s telegram posted outside the ranger headquarters in Strawberry, or ask the Rangers for it in-character!

*Any previous relevant knowledge
*Why your character wants to join the Rangers

If your character does not use the telegram system please reach out to the Support Bot to discuss an alternative that works for your character. Your character will be subject to an IC background check for lawfulness. Once your request is processed you will be directed by the State Ranger to introduce yourself to the Rangers and begin training. If the training goes well the Head Ranger will allow you to become a Ranger Recruit and further instruction will be provided via the Rangers.
